Dieses Plugin fügt der WordPress-Anwendung Unterstützung für WebP- und AVIF-Dateien bei Medien-Uploads hinzu. Standardmäßig werden AVIF-Bilder generiert, wenn dies auf dem Hosting-Server unterstützt wird. Andernfalls wird WebP als Ausgabeformat verwendet. Wenn beide Formate verfügbar sind, kann das Ausgabeformat unter Einstellungen > Medien ausgewählt werden. Moderne Bilder werden nur für neue Uploads generiert. Bereits vorhandene Bilder werden nur dann in ein modernes Format konvertiert, wenn die Bilder neu generiert werden. Bilder können mit einem Plugin wie Regenerate Thumbnails oder über WP-CLI mit dem Befehl wp media regenerate neu generiert werden.
